There’s so much news about rss feeds, blogging and there are those who believe that e-mail is just a means to communicate but not really a cost-effective marketing tool and that with the release of Microsoft Office Suite 2007 that emails have regressed 7 years as they “strip out” images and can end up putting your email in a junk email filter. This is such a cool plugin with a rather weird name, until you realize that XOBNI really is the word INBOX, back to front! I’ve been very impressed with this application since reading about it and being on the BETA list for installation.

After a few weeks, the invite arrived and I’ve been hooked ever since. Talk about inbox statistics, who you write to the most, who you reply to fastest, what time of day your email friends are writing to you most often and how many files are exchanged with a nice summary list to boot. Now they’ve even added that LinkedIn to the application…so for all you business networkers and statisticians, its a must have!

Some software solutions that we recommend you review. Today we’ve been reviewing anti-virus and anti-spam (email) solutions at a time when protecting your PC, laptop or network is paramount. We came across a provider in Europe called DrWeb that has a product that is stable and seemed really effective.

So we downloaded the trial software and ran this on a home pc as a test. We were very impressed with the software. Having tried many over the years, Norton which caused many issues personally, McAfee and Trend Micro to name a few, this solution from this Russian provider has proven to be a great solution for a cost starting from $44 USD for a 1 year windows single user license and they have thrown in the anti-virus for Windows Mobile for free, a nice touch as this area is not a great threat right now but stealing private info from PDA’s via malware is a growing trend and this protection will be a valuable tool to have.
