Definition of “Landing” Page or “Squeeze” Page is a page intended to identify the beginning of the user experience resulting from a defined marketing effort. What is the purpose of a Landing page? Well we agree with Seth Godin’s list below:

A landing page (in fact, every web page) can only cause one of five actions:

* Get a visitor to click (to go to another page, on your site or someone else’s)
* Get a visitor to buy
* Get a visitor to give permission for you to follow up (by email, phone, etc.). This includes registration of course.
* Get a visitor to tell a friend
* (and the more subtle) Get a visitor to learn something, which could even include posting a comment or giving you some sort of feedback.

So with that in mind, have a minimum of 2 landing page variations when considering a landing page or pages for your web site marketing campaigns. Ad Variations: Test a variety of your landing page adverts using different adverts on your landing page design to monitor the most successful web page combination – which will be the one that generates leads/conversions.
