To get started with a website, first you need a place to “host” the site and then you need to configure it, generally via an administrative panel. CPanel is a leading provider of such a service for Linux web hosting and they are located in Houston, Texas.

When I first reviewed cpanel, their website was a bit bland.

What is Fantastico?

It’s a list of web applications that are automatically installed with a couple of mouse clicks, you don’t need to be a programmer to install these applications! The other cool feature is the Statistic Reporting that allows you to track your site visitors without the need for adding “code” to your web page.

Fantastico installs WordPress Blog application…

To make things easy in this sometimes extremely complex world of wonders the auto install feature on the hosting will save you a lot of time but if you are still unsure and you need help, we’re here! So, as stated above, you acquire hosting that has Fantastico and you can then install the WordPress Blog – thus saving you a lot of time configuring databases and such like. Now we’ll show you the steps to setting up your blog assuming you have purchased hosting and know how to login to CPanel.

1. Login to your Cpanel.
2. Click on the Fantastico Icon.
3. Navigate to WordPress on the left side and click on it.
4. This opens a page, where you input the information requested and click enter and your blog is installed! I recommend you send your login info via email when prompted.
5. That’s it, you now have a WordPress blog!
