I’ve been watching Twitter.com grow. I’ll be honest and say at first I thought it was rather “daft” to say the least but now after revisiting the port recently, I am amazed that everyone it “tweeting” – sending messages at less than 140 characters long at regular intervals updating their status from personal to business to anything followers wish to feed on….
For those of you with a staple ‘diet’ of communities to follow and ports to update like myspace, facebook and linkedin to name a couple..tweeting allows you to connect and stay atune of latest news flashes and there are a bunch of applications and private developers “mashing it up” and creating businesses off this successful funded startup that has just received another huge injection of capital (no, not from Taxpayers $$$ unlike AIG and the ‘Mac’s). Now Twitter has acquired a search engine and they are ramping the features and functionality of this site which has an avid base of “geeks and technoheads” following and being followed. But notable entrants are realizing the power of Twitter and are ‘tweeting’ themselves, the terminology used for posting.
