I love your website but can I afford your services?
First you should have a budget and a brief. In our case, send a short email outlining your budget, ideal time for delivery and a quick synopsis of the project for a “feel out” response. We’ll give you a ball-park reply and answer if the budget is on par with the project scope or falls short of what you want to achieve. We’ll work with you to discuss your options after you send over the full specifications for a more in-depth analysis and follow up discussion(s). Our quotation will come with options so you can tailor that to your budget for the current year and plan for the future. Digital marketing is ongoing and not everything needs to be addressed immediately, hence the proposal provided will reflect that and allow you to make an informed decision as to how and when to proceed for each and/or all of your goals.
Do I need a custom website or a template?
This boils down to budget. If your budget is under $10,000 then a template is the best solution. That said, the market has a lot of premium templates that are quite stunning after we have creatively styled them for your brand. Most of our small business designs use a template as that leaves them with a marketing budget after launch. Once they are up and running, generally in a year or so, they will come back and ask for a bespoke design as business is rocking!
Why such a high budget for custom design?
Our logic is that if you want to create a custom design, you will wish to invest in planning, marketing and other fees to ensure the custom design is actually going to give you a return on your investment. Yes, we can create a custom theme in the low budget range, but now you have your fabulous design, was it user tested before you paid for it? No is the answer, as you were on a tight budget, so you are guessing because you like it and your peers said it’s great, that was sufficient to spend the cash on a design that is unknown as a commercially sound decision (e.g In “startup” language, think MVP, or “Minimum Viable Product”).
What is the website design process and how long does it take?
After we’ve been appointed, first you’ll be setup on our Project Management system where you’ll be kept informed and up-to-date on your project. The key stages to website design and development are
1) Initial design (prototyping) including mockup presentation with home page and sub page
2) Approval / revision of designs
3) Converting the design(s) into a functioning website
4) Finalizing project deliverables which may include on-page search engine optimization, google analytics setup and integration, social media pages, newsletters and auto-responders and other work as requested
5) Testing, page speed optimization, bug fixing and when complete, client sign off
6) Launch and monitor (if there is a service level agreement in place). The length of time depends on the scope of the project and will be provided after we know the deliverables. It’s also important that you have the sitemap and content ready and there is a member of your team available to answer questions and provide feedback to ensure fast turnaround times.
How Do I Manage My Website?

That is why we decided to focus on using WordPress as a Content Management System (CMS) for our clients. It has an easy learning curve and that has been verified by millions of small business and indeed corporations worldwide. So for content management, you’ll be able to manage the day-to-day activities (e.g. if you run a store and have product orders to process, this is done in the administration panel)
The short answer is you are responsible for website content. Clearly you know your product and/or service(s) and would be the person to provide knowledge and insight in the form of written content. However, we offer content writing services and can, for a fee, provide content if you need specific pieces or wish to have content created focusing on your product/service(s). For example long-form content (e.g. in excess of 2,000 words) for blogs or explaining a product in detail, this is a popular request. The optimization of content is for on-page SEO and this is an add on service which is either charged on an hourly rate or you can take advantage of our SEO subscription services.
